Lead by Fawn & Cally Fruscello, Holistic Health Coach & Personal Chef this workshop teaches mamas how to use yoga and nutrition for proactive self-care. Just as it can take a while to process our birth experiences, it can also take time for our bodies to heal. You'll learn how to use yogic movement to feel more energetic and less stagnant, and how to choose foods that support your body's natural restorative process.
Through core movement, pranayama, twists, and hip-opening postures, we can encourage and support the natural processes of digestion and elimination. Through our intake of whole and raw foods, less sugar, and more probiotics, we can support the lymphatic system and stimulate the immune response.
Fawn has practiced yoga since childhood, and has taught yoga in Portland since 2008. She teaches Prenatal, Hatha, and Vinyasa classes with an emphasis on therapeutics and mindfulness. "As a yoga instructor and new mom, I am driven to address the need for more postpartum care. Please join us, mingle with other mamas, learn some new poses, and leave with safe, accessible tools that you can practice at home."
This workshop is not an advanced yoga class, but previous yoga experience is helpful. Tea and light snacks provided.
